27:2 entered not into the temple. Jotham was perhaps fearful of being in the temple because of what had happened there to his father. Otherwise he “prepared his ways before the LORD his God” and “did that which was right in the sight of the LORD” (II Chronicles 27:6, 2).


27:2 the people did yet corruptly. See II Kings 15:35.
